About CopperWing Band
CopperWing Band is a Covid success story. With no gigs occurring, Tim Griffin (guitar), Robert Stephens (bass), and Joey Valdez (drums) started jamming at master peace studios in Tampa Florida. In the fall of 2020, CopperWing started gigging as a 3 piece act. 2021 brought Billy Bryant in on drums. In 2022 Ferdinand Bannister a jazz musician and recording artist also joined. Today CopperWing consists of Tim Griffin (guitar-vocals) Robert Stephens (bass-vocals), Ferdinand Bannister (sax-flute), and Dave Hummistan ( drums).
CopperWing is a fan favorite around Tampa playing a wide range of music. Including Chicago Blues, Funk, R&B, Reggae, and Rock and Roll We have been steadily gigging around Tampa Bay since 2020 including venues such as; the Tampa Convention Center, International Beer Garten, The Salty Shamrock, O’Briens Irish pub, Rivetter’s and many more.
